CAD for Visuals
Prepare Simple CAD Models for the Visuals You Need
Turn your existing CAD files, drawings, sketches, images, dimensions, or simple design references into CAD models prepared for product presentation, visual previews, design reviews, and rendering workflows.
SYNCCAD helps prepare simple CAD geometry for products, components, enclosures, covers, brackets, and other clearly defined designs that need a suitable CAD model for visual use.
You don't need to start with a finished CAD model. Provide the references you already have, and we'll review the scope before production.

What You Can Send Us
You can start with the references you already have.
Existing CAD
Provide an existing CAD model when available for modification or preparation.
Technical Drawing
A dimensioned drawing can provide the geometry and dimensions needed for creating or updating the CAD model.
Sketch
A hand-drawn or digital sketch can work when the important geometry and dimensions are clearly identified.
Image
A clear product image or reference image can help communicate the intended shape, but additional dimensions may be required.
A PDF can be used as a reference for eligible CAD preparation when sufficient information is available.
What Information Should You Include?
Existing CAD file where available
Overall dimensions
Feature dimensions
Important geometry
Hole and opening dimensions
Thickness
Radii
Angles
Units
Intended visual use
Required geometry changes
Required output format
Revision instructions
Example:
Prepare the attached CAD model for a product presentation.
Overall dimensions should remain unchanged.
Remove the temporary mounting holes shown in the reference.
Keep the enclosure shape and wall thickness unchanged.
Units: mm.
Required output: STEP.
This gives us a much clearer basis for reviewing the request.
CAD for Visuals for Different Workflows
Product Presentation
CAD models can provide a clear 3D representation of products and components for presentations, previews, and internal communication.
Discover moreDesign Review
Simple CAD models can help teams review proportions, geometry, dimensions, and design changes before moving to later stages.
Discover moreRendering Workflow
A prepared CAD model can serve as a geometry source for a separate rendering or visualization workflow.

Payment is required before production.
The 48-hour period starts after payment is received and all required references and information are complete.
05 — We Prepare Your CAD
We create or modify the agreed CAD geometry based on the confirmed scope.
06 — Delivery
The agreed CAD output is delivered within the confirmed timeframe.
For eligible Simple CAD Jobs, delivery is targeted within 48 hours after payment and all required references and information are complete.
What Makes a Good CAD for Visuals Request?
A good request clearly answers five questions:
What?
What CAD model or geometry needs to be created or modified?
From What?
Which CAD file, drawing, sketch, image, or PDF should be used?
How Large?
What geometry, proportions, dimensions, or visible features are important?
What Changes?
If modifying existing CAD, exactly what needs to change?
What Output?
Which CAD format do you need for your visual workflow?
The clearer these points are, the easier it is to review the scope and prepare the CAD file.
Common Problems to Avoid
01.
Expecting a Rendering
CAD preparation and final rendering are different tasks. If you need a rendered image, specify the required visual workflow separately.
03.
Unclear Visual Target
If a specific shape, proportion, feature, or product version is required, identify it clearly in the reference.
02.
Missing Dimensions
A reference image can communicate appearance but may not provide exact dimensions. Provide known measurements wherever possible.
04.
Incomplete CAD
An existing CAD file may not contain all the geometry required for the intended visual use. Additional references may be needed.
05.
Unknown Units
Clearly identify whether dimensions are in mm, inches, or another unit.
06.
Unclear Revisions
Instead of:
Make the product look like the new version.
Use:
Increase the enclosure height from 60 mm to 70 mm. Keep the width, length, and mounting-hole locations unchanged.
Supported Reference Types
Depending on the task, your reference may include:
Existing CAD ➞ Modification or visual CAD preparation
- Technical Drawing ➞ Dimensions and geometry
- Sketch ➞ Basic shape and design intent
- PDF ➞ Drawing and reference information
- Image ➞ Visual geometry reference
- Marked-Up Drawing ➞ Clearly identified revisions
The actual suitability of each reference is determined during scope review.

Frequently asked questions
Here are some common questions about our company.
Yes, when the requested CAD changes or preparation requirements are clearly defined and within scope.
Can a DWG file be converted to DXF?
This may be possible depending on the source file, required output, and supported workflow. Some drawing information or application-specific features may not transfer exactly.
Yes, a suitable image can be used as a visual reference, but additional dimensions or references may be required.
Not automatically. SYNCCAD focuses on CAD file preparation. A CAD model can be prepared as a basis for a separate rendering workflow.
You can request clearly defined geometry changes. The scope will be reviewed before production.
Yes. Suitable PDFs and sketches can be used as references when enough geometry and dimension information is available.
The required output format can be reviewed during scope confirmation. The suitable format depends on the intended workflow and agreed requirements.
No. $48 applies to eligible Simple CAD Jobs. The scope is reviewed before production.
The 48-hour period starts after payment is received and all required references and information are complete.
