01 — Project Overview
Prepare Sheet Metal CAD Geometry
Sheet metal parts may include flat profiles, simple brackets, covers, panels, and folded components. Clear digital geometry helps communicate the intended shape and dimensions for further design or fabrication.
SYNCCAD helps prepare simple sheet metal CAD files from customer-provided sketches, drawings, dimensions, images, or existing CAD references.

The deliverables depend on the supplied information and the agreed project scope.
02 — Use Cases
Flat Sheet Metal Profiles
Prepare clearly defined 2D profiles with specified outer boundaries and cutouts.
DiscoverSimple Brackets and Panels
Create basic part geometry for panels, mounting plates, and straightforward sheet metal brackets.
DiscoverCovers and Enclosures
Prepare simple cover or enclosure geometry when the required shape and dimensions are clearly specified.
DiscoverExisting Part Modifications
Make defined changes to supported sheet metal CAD files based on updated dimensions or reference drawings.
DiscoverComplex folded parts, multi-part assemblies, and tasks requiring detailed manufacturing engineering may need a custom quote.
03 — What We Prepare
Basic Sheet Metal Models
Create simple 3D part geometry when the shape and required features are clearly defined.
DiscoverDefined Features
Include specified holes, slots, cutouts, and basic mounting features within the approved scope.
DiscoverAgreed Output Format
Prepare the deliverable in a supported CAD format confirmed during scope review.
DiscoverFlat patterns, bend allowances, bend tables, and manufacturing-specific features should only be included when explicitly confirmed in the agreed scope.
04 — Required References
What to Send
Please provide as many of the following as available:
A sketch, technical drawing, or reference image
Overall dimensions and critical measurements
Material thickness, if known and relevant
Hole, slot, and cutout dimensions
Bend locations and angles, if applicable
Existing CAD files for modification tasks
Your preferred output format, if known
Any available requirements from your chosen fabricator
Clarify Fabrication Requirements
Sheet metal geometry can depend on thickness, bend radius, bend direction, and fabrication method.
Provide these requirements when they are important to the requested deliverable. Missing information may require clarification before the scope can be approved.
Do not assume that flat-pattern development, bend compensation, or machine-specific manufacturing settings are included unless explicitly agreed.
05 — How It Works
What's new ? Explore
Step 1 — Submit Your References
Send your sketches, drawings, dimensions, images, or existing CAD files with a brief description of the required sheet metal task.
Step 2 — Scope Review
We review the part geometry, available information, requested features, and output requirements to determine whether the task qualifies for the $48 Simple CAD Job service.
Step 3 — Approve and Pay
Once the scope and deliverables are agreed, pay $48 upfront for an eligible Simple CAD Job. More complex requests may require a custom quote.
Step 4 — CAD Preparation
Production begins after payment has been received and all required references and information are complete.
Step 5 — Final File Delivery
Your agreed final CAD files are delivered within 48 hours from the confirmed start point.
06 — Deliverables & Scope
What You Receive
Depending on the approved scope, deliverables may include a simple sheet metal part model, a 2D profile, or another agreed CAD file in a supported format.
The exact output and any required flat pattern or bend details must be confirmed before payment.
Simple CAD Job Pricing
Eligible, clearly defined sheet metal CAD tasks may qualify for the fixed $48 price.
Complex folded geometry, extensive flat-pattern development, large assemblies, or tasks requiring specialist manufacturing input may need a custom quote.
Important Limitations
SYNCCAD prepares digital CAD files based on customer-provided references. We do not manufacture sheet metal parts or guarantee fabrication suitability.
Your chosen fabricator should verify material thickness, bend radii, bend allowances, tolerances, tooling constraints, and other production requirements.
Any revision allowance must be agreed before payment. Changes beyond the approved scope may require a separate quote.
07 — FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions
Yes, if the drawing provides enough information for a clearly defined task. We may request additional dimensions or bend details before confirming the scope.
A flat pattern may be possible when it is supported by the agreed workflow and the required material and bend information are available. Confirm this during scope review.
Provide the thickness whenever it affects the required geometry or deliverable. We will clarify missing information before confirming the scope.
No. The fixed $48 price applies only to eligible Simple CAD Jobs. Complex tasks may require a custom quote.
The 48-hour period begins after payment has been received and all required references and information are complete.
Available formats depend on the task and supported workflow. We confirm the output format during scope review.
Not automatically. Your chosen fabricator should verify bend details, tolerances, materials, tooling constraints, and production suitability.
